Understanding OSD’s $560,000 Reduction in State Aid

Wisconsin’s school funding formula is complex, but the basic impact is straightforward: Oostburg School District is projected to receive an estimated $560,000 less in state aid for the coming year.

In this video, we explain how rising property values, declining resident enrollment, and changes in school spending across Wisconsin affect the amount of state aid OSD receives and why that can shift more of the school funding burden to local taxpayers.
