I hope you are planning on attending the Celebration of the Arts this coming Tuesday, March 24th. Students will perform at 2:00 p.m. and again at 6:00 p.m. Please also spend some time appreciating all of the art work which is displayed in the quad on the display boards. Through this tour of student art, you will notice the progressions of learning and will no doubt spy some of your child’s hard work in visual form. I hope you will enjoy the talent and creativity our students contribute to our community.
As we look upon the week ahead of us, we know signs of spring and the anticipation of spring break will certainly compete for our learning energy. Please join us in staying the course throughout next week, encouraging our students to continue their hard work, their reading, and their focus. The end of the quarter is March 27, and report cards will be sent home with students on April 10.
Since September, our math team has been hard at work reviewing our math curriculum and reviewing potential new math series that would improve our math curriculum. The team has also participated in extensive professional development to learn about the most effective ways to teach math. We will be holding a parent meeting on Thursday, April 9 at 6:30 p.m. (OES library) to share out our work in this process. We encourage you to join us if you’d like to know more about our work in math.
Stay tuned for upcoming information about summer school. Summer is just around the corner!
Have a great weekend!
