Hopefully our families are aware of the upcoming showing of the movie Screenagers taking place on February 20th in the OHS Auditorium. Screenagers is a documentary exploring the impact that tech / screen time has on kids’ development. Participants will walk away with practical solutions and resources on how to empower kids to best navigate the digital world. You can check out a preview at, and we ask that parents interested in joining us please register at Free child care will be provided along with popcorn and refreshments. Our student services and IT departments have put a lot of time into organizing and promoting this event, and we certainly hope you will be able to join us. The showing will take place starting at 6:00pm in our HS auditorium.

As the father of two teenage daughters I recognize first hand the challenges presented by the pervasive nature of our children’s digital world. I am looking forward to learning more about navigating this area with my daughters. Please feel free to [easy-tweet tweet=”Check out latest OSD Blog post about the movie @screenagerMovie – showing Feb 20 @oostburgschools”]contact me or Bryce DeRoos if you have any questions regarding this opportunity.
