To celebrate Autism Awareness Month, students and staff at OES made a colorful display featuring bubbles of kindness to show how we can be kind and accepting of everyone! Bubbles are symbols of joy, hope, and laughter so today the whole school went outside to blow bubbles and have fun together!! #BoostTheOost

Groups of 7th grade band students visited the elementary school to perform for the 5th graders as they made decisions about course offerings in middle school. Next they will get to try out all of the different instruments and find out which one they might like to play next year. #BoostTheOost
Are your children having trouble starting or completing tasks? Are they having difficulty with organization or following directions? Mrs. Kristin Stapel, Elementary Reading Specialist, and Mr. Ray Wolf, School Psychologist, are offering a brief introductory class for parents on executive functioning. The class is focused on what executive functioning is, why it’s so important, and what parents can do at home to continuously develop it in their kids.
It is a 45-minute class, planned at the beginning of the day (8:30-9:15) on April 9th and May 14th, and at the end of the day, (2:45-3:30) on April 11th and May 14th. Child care is available for both of the afternoon sessions. RSVP for one of the classes at Kristin.Stapel@oostburg.k12.wi.us or by calling the OES Office at 564-
