When Thankful is an Understatement

As I get close to shutting down the office to leave for a few days to enjoy family and friends over Thanksgiving, I can’t help but reflect upon Oostburg Middle School and how blessed we all are. I’m most thankful for the privilege to work day in and day out with a fantastic group of young people. I’m thankful to work tirelessly with them and with staff to ensure that all students feel safe, respected, and are learning.  I hope you join me in knowing that OMS has a top notch staff that are working hard every day to figure out how to maximize student learning in their classrooms.  I’m thankful to work in a district that has a primary focus on continuous improvement for all students and staff.  We are all learning together!

When I actually take time to slow down and reflect, I realize that I am abundantly blessed to call OMS my home.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for entrusting me to work alongside students and faculty to make OMS a great place for all.  I wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving, and hope that you too take time over the course of the next several days to realize how wonderfully blessed we are.  Safe travels to those going near or far.  I’m looking forward to full classrooms again on Monday!
