Wisconsin Math League
On February 26th OMS 6th-8th grade students participated in the Wisconsin Math League Competition. The overall goal of the contest is to promote student interest in mathematics and continue to develop problem solving skills. Each grade level score is based on the top five student performances. The overall team score, as well as, the top 5 scores are submitted and results are listed below.
The 6th grade ranked 3rd overall in the region, with a team score of 107. Chase Dulmes came in 4th place with a score of 24.
The 7th grade came in 1st place in the region with an overall score of 98. Individually, Brent Greupink came in 1st with a score of 21 points, Sierra Thein came in 2nd place with 20 points, Paige Bruggink, Makenna Ley, and Elizabeth Heinen all tied for 3rd place with a score of 19.
The Oostburg 8th grade team came in 1st place with their team score of 115 in the region and in the top 30 in the state. Individually, Tommy Montemayor was 1st with a score of 25. Tied for 2nd place were Ben Kretz and Christopher TebPas with a score of 24 and 4th place went to Travis Hendriske with a sore of 22.
