OMS sixth graders discussed culture, school life, hobbies, and heritage with Ukrainian students via the Global Art Exchange on May 16. Both groups also presented songs and art. Despite the eight hour time difference, students couldn’t resist asking “just one more question”! The Ukrainian students were interested in our food, sports, hobbies, school life, national symbols, and local legends. (Their English, one of four languages spoken, was quite impressive.) Telepresence facilitates the building of global bridges. Thanks to Ms. Harder for coordinating this special experience.
