Circuitry Activities are Electrifying!

Fourth grade students are being challenged in this WIN unit to use their knowledge of conductors, circuits, and schematic diagrams, as well as the Engineering Design Process (ask, imagine, plan, create, improve) to design an alarm circuit that someone else will build. This alarm circuit will should turn on a light and an alarm when the “trough” (cup) for holding “water” (plastic beads) is empty. In the following pictures students are doing the introductory work of building circuits and drawing and analyzing schematic diagrams in preparation for the challenge next week.
