Monthly Archives: August 2016
Hope that you are enjoying the last days of summer with your children. Summer sure went fast, yet I find myself getting more and more excited every day to have students back at OMS and to get back into a routine with my own family.
It was brought to our attention that some families are having a hard time finding a YELLOW three subject notebook as the school supply list calls for for 6th grade Language and Literature. Please don’t waste your time driving all around the area looking for one. It is perfectly fine to get a different color; preferably black or another color that isn’t already on the list for a different subject.
See you at Sneak Peak on Wednesday, August 31st!
The 2016 Night of Celebration was held to celebrate our new Adapted Specials programs. This year participating teachers were Katiri Helmeid, Janna Heinen and Julia Pearson. It was designed to showcase our students’ art projects, sing songs from throughout the year from music class and show parents what they do in library. It was a huge success and we hope to make this an annual event. We will also be including adapted physical Ed this year in the event.
